Our scripture this morning is ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭6.

Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Paul writes with joy to his friends in Philippi, glad that they are a spirit filled and active church. He tells them “that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns”. We can be confident that whatever God has planned for us, He will also be with us to see it through. God has called each of us for a purpose and gifted us accordingly. If we continue in faith, we can be assured of salvation when Jesus comes to take us home.

Loving Lord, we are humbled that You want us as part of what You are doing in creation. Help us to continue the good work that You began in us. Amen.
