Friends, I am traveling again today to be part of the clergy team for a retreat in southwest Kansas. My availability will be somewhat limited and my phone is not working yet. I return to Omaha Monday and will catch up with everyone then. Prayers and blessings! ❤️🙏🏻

Our scripture this morning is ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬-‭4.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

This psalm tells us of God’s love and watchful care. It reminds us that God wants to be our place of shelter and rest. In order for that to happen, we must turn to Him and trust His promises to us. God is aware of everything that happens in His creation. Jesus tells us “What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins ? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬-‭7). Know that you are of infinite worth as one of His beloved children and that He stands ready to protect those who come to Him in repentance.

Heavenly Father, we are grateful for all Your gifts to us, none more important than our savior, Jesus Christ. Help us to see how valuable we are to You and to value our brothers and sisters in the same way. Amen.
