Our scripture this morning is Psalms 27:13-14 NLT.
Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
This Psalm reminds us that we can see God’s blessings right here, right now. If we are honest, anything we experience is a blessing from Him. Everything we have and everything we are come from the Lord.
We are told many times to “be brave and courageous” in scripture. Sin is a terrible foe to face and alone we can’t stand against it. However, when we place our faith in Him and “wait patiently for the Lord” we stand in His unfailing strength.
Waiting for God’s solution and His time is often hard for us. We want results now! God has shown us time and again when we rush in with our own answer, the result is usually failure. We must ask for His help and make Him part of everything we do.
Heavenly Father, we are sorry for our impatience and our desire to impose our will on Your creation. Help us to see Your love and Your plan and listen for Your word in all things. Amen.
