Our scripture this morning is ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:16-19‬.

“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”

Paul prays for us to be blessed, that our “roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong” (v. 17). We must be secure and strong in God’s love in order to share it with others. With the knowledge of Christ’s sacrifice for us, we can take the Good News to the world.

Jesus has given us the assurance that when we come to God in repentance, we are forgiven and restored by His love. We are told “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). This blessing is wonderful enough, but God has more for us – we are called to be part of His plan for all to have the gift of salvation.

Repent, return to a relationship with God and be restored. We are promised this when we accept Jesus as our savior. God has made a way for us to be saved. We don’t deserve this gift and we can’t earn it, but God offers us His love and forgiveness just the same.

Heavenly Father, we are thankful for all Your gifts. Bless us to be a blessing to others that all the world may know Your love. Amen.
